About Horton International

Corporate Governance

Horton International was founded in 1978 in Avon, Connecticut, U.S., by Robert Horton. In the 1980s, the firm began its international expansion into Europe, the Asia Pacific region and the Americas. Horton Group International Limited (HGIL) was originally formed as a UK-based holding company in 1995 by the founding Horton International partners in the US, UK, France, Germany, Italy, Australia and Spain. HGIL continues to serve as the governing body for the firm, establishing global policies, procedures and guidelines for all international operations.

Today the firm has significantly expanded its global presence with offices in more than 40 locations. Partners meet regularly in global and regional meetings.

HGIL is managed by a Board of Directors elected by the partners of the firm. Based throughout the world, the HGIL Board is drawn from the three operating regions and meets quarterly.
